TL/DR don’t listen to people who tell you that product passion is a requirement to start a business. Always remember your freedom goal.

The podcast is getting funnier and funnier.
Brecht’s comment about the coin operated laundry ‘yo, for example, greatly amused me. Please keep it up!

Hi Guys,
Just cruising through some of the old episodes over the holidays (over here in Australia).
I’ve been listening for a few weeks and am enjoying listening to your journey.
My first comment is about the wired article (I haven’t read it). Everyone is different. I am of your opinion that running my own business is highly important. I personally love doing it. I have had conversations with people with far better skills then mine who have no desire to start or run a business. They are on good salaries, have different passions in life and everything is going great. So unless you have a passion to run a business I don’t think it would be advisable to suggest it to others. Sometimes the passion for the product may make the business side of things bearable.
Secondly regarding the language – since it’s Bootstrapped with “kids” I’d prefer if your shows didn’t contain any foul language – I’m not a prude! I have been known to swear myself 😉 – but I do have kids wandering past my home office and do I play your podcast on my desktop speakers while exercising or working.
Keep up the great work and can’t wait to catchup with the remaining episodes.

Hi Ray,
Thanks for tuning in! I appreciate your opinion on the fowl language… For better or for worse swearing seems to be part of our natural dialog. We will do our best to curb any unnecessary cursing (my mom listens to the show…) but I won’t guarantee anything. 😉
Best,
Scott
