Ramit Sethi has a good book on smarter ways to manage your money. You can also check out Dave Ramsey or Mr. Money Moustache.
You have to mix and match to fit what works for you, but it’s a good way to live.

Thanks Robert! I didn’t know about Dave Ramsey, I’ll check him out.

I enjoy these episodes because it allows me to see how you are making the transition (in Scott’s case) from employee to entrepreneur. I am a full time consultant and hope to make the transition to entrepreneur at some point. It’s hard though because consulting income is very good and I have three kids and work remotely 95% of the time already. Appears Brecht has made this transition to fulltime entrepreneur already. Would love to hear a full episode about how that transition was made specifically. Also check out Clark Howard for advice on saving Money.

Thanks James, we plan to go into more detail on Brecht’s transition, and hopefully that of others who have made the transition too, in future episodes. Thanks for listening!

Great podcast fellas. I can relate with both of you in different phases of my life. The past year we cut expenses and this year we are paying down debt with the intention of going full force next year. My biggest problem (you mentioned it in a previous episode) has been chasing shiny objects. Good to hear that others experience this ADHD too! Keep the podcasts coming.

Thanks Elliot, it’s a pretty fundamental mindshift, and I think requires constant effort to get there… A lot of my responses to expenses both business and personal are so automatic! Good luck with your projects (the important ones, not the shiny objects…)!
