In the past I’ve used this chrome extension in order to make sure my markup matches the PhotoShop Comp. This extension allows you to overlay the comp on top of your website in the chrome. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/perfectpixel-by-welldonec/dkaagdgjmgdmbnecmcefdhjekcoceebi?hl=en

Wow, thanks for the tip on the plugin, I just tried it out and it’s great! I also asked my front end devs to start using it and I think it’s helping…

Nice tip!

Hi Guys,
thanks a bunch for the shoutout!
Unfortunately, I don’t know him. Got to ask my mum, maybe he’s a distant cousin or something ๐
Having the wife in the background was a nice change from the kids ๐

Another great episode ๐
Interesting discussion about the accuracy of front end developers. I worked as a developer in a design agency for over a decade, and a lot of developers struggle with the accuracy if making a design to markup. There is a certain detail blindness that some developers just have, and you can’t train it out of them. You need to find developers with a degree of design sensitivity, with an appreciation for the aesthetic.
It seems natural to me, as it sounds like it does to you Scott, but quite a few developers just don’t get it. The trick is to find the ones who do!

Thanks for the comment Simon, I am going to try a couple other front-end devs for the pixel perfect work as opposed to more creative work… It’s weird as it seems to obvious to me.
